Charity work for orphanages
Following the Yazaki motto, "a corporation needed by society", our team at Yazaki Ukraine has been actively involved in solving social problems in local communities: We have been providing charitable assistance to orphanages for a year now.
As a result of the war, several orphanages from the area close to the hostilities were relocated to Zakarpattia, the region where Yazaki Ukraine is located. These facilities did not always have the capacity to care for additional children, especially not for ones with disabilities. So we decided to help: the assistance includes providing furniture and care products such as beds, linen, mattresses and diapers for babies or children with disabilities, as well as more specific goods The latter are massage tables, sports and rehabilitation equipment, and for people with disabilities, a chair lift for children who do not walk and wall handrails.
As the children have experienced incredibly stressful situations, such as air alarms, bombing, spending hours in basement shelters, lack of light and heat, or changing their place of residence, they also receive psychological support. Our team visits the children and talks to them, as well as their management and educators. Together, we identify the most urgent needs to improve the living conditions or rehabilitate the young people.
Together with the staff of the orphanages, we rejoice when we see how our help improves the situation of children. In the midst of the ongoing war in the country, this opportunity to help brings heart-warming moments.
