In February, another "Donate blood" action was held at our company, in which 79 employees took part. Together with the specialists of the Transcarpathian Regional Blood Transfusion Station, more than 35 liters of blood were collected!

First of all, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all employees who donated blood repeatedly, who donated blood for the first time, or wanted to, but could not do so due to certain health problems. You are extraordinary! After all, people who donate blood give life to others. It is not by chance that they are called donors, which means "to give" in Latin. Blood is the most valuable thing that a person can give to another person. This is a gift of life.

Did you know that one donation saves three patients? After all, blood can be divided into three components: plasma, platelets, erythrocytes. And each of them can be separately used to make medicine and given to three different patients with corresponding needs.

Also, after examining the state of health of regular donors and comparing it with a group of peers who had never donated blood, doctors were surprised by an unexpected discovery. It turned out that donors live an average of 5 years longer, suffer less from cardiovascular diseases and tolerate colds more easily.
