Yazaki Recognized for Creating Jobs, Boosting Economy by Bulgaria
KÖLN, Germany – June 6, 2019 – Yazaki Europe Ltd.’s newest Bulgarian plant was presented with the Economy award by Regional Governor Stanislav Dechev during the “10 Reasons to Stay in My Dimitrovgrad” forum held on May 13, 2019.
The award was received by Yazaki’s Human Resources Manager Radka Stoykova in recognition of the company’s significant contributions to the region’s economic development with the creation of more than 2,400 jobs in the Dimitrovgrad area since the plant’s opening in 2016.
“We are honored to have been presented with this award for the work we do in Bulgaria,” said Stoykova. “We are committed to doing the right thing not only for our customers, but also our communities.”
Yazaki started doing business in Bulgaria in 2006, creating and manufacturing wire harnesses for customers such as Groupe Renault, Ford Motor Co. and Daimler AG. With more than 5,000 employees across its three plants in Yambol, Sliven and Dimitrovgrad, Yazaki is one of the largest employers in the country.
