Yazaki empowers Innovation and Future Collaboration with Portuguese SMEs
The Test Bed “Future Collaboration” project is currently underway at Yazaki, a co-funded initiative by the Portuguese government in partnership with ISQ CTAG. The project aims to promote technological development and innovation in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Portugal.
Test Bed “Future Collaboration” provides Portuguese SMEs with access to infrastructure, equipment, and specialized expertise, offering a real-world environment for testing and experimentation services in both physical and virtual spaces. By allowing SMEs to conduct pilots in strategic areas, the project helps reduce the risks associated with investing in new technologies, generating case studies that facilitate decision-making on the best methodologies to implement.
The areas of support include Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV), Automation, 2D/3D Vision, Online/Offline Robotics, Metalworking, Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality, and Digital Twins. For participating Portuguese SMEs, the project offers a range of benefits, including access to services at below-market costs, testing infrastructures without the need for significant investment, and a network of partners that supports the acceleration of new product development and market introduction.
For Yazaki, the “Future Collaboration” represents an opportunity to strengthen its position as a leader in innovation and to support the growth of the Portuguese industry. By collaborating with SMEs, Yazaki not only contributes to local technological development but also gains access to new use cases, allowing it to test and refine emerging technologies with lower risk and greater impact. This project is an opportunity to create value, reinforcing Yazaki's commitment to sustainable innovation and engineering advancement.
